A Note from the Authors

Our goal was to create a book parents and their kids can enjoy together. It's in the vein of the classical children's stories of over 50 years ago.  While containing the richness of books such as 'Wind & the Willows', A.A. Milne's 'Winnie the Pooh' series, and Beatrix Potter's works, it also has more modern, wacky elements found in more modern children's properties.

The illustration style has a similar approach, where the details and deep, rich colors evoke feelings of classic art and children's illustration.  But they have been created using the latest state of the art 3D illustration technology.  This combination is at present, unique in the arena of children's book publishing.

The Adventures of Gruntly and Iggy is a book parents and children could read through quickly, but at it's core it's a book that can be savored and one that parents can invest quality time in with their children.  Our hope was to create a family building experience in the sharing of our book..

The moderately advanced copy of the story does not speak down to the reader and allows children opportunities to ask their parents the meaning of words.   This also helps to elevate the parent into the role of a capable guide and source of information (something that our culture loves to tear down by portraying parent's as unintelligent idiots who are out of touch in nearly every form of entertainment and advertising).

The Great Cheese Squeeze is an opportunity for parents and kids to connect and enjoy the unfolding of a story together, a story which emphasizes the strengths in relationships and the treasures of uniqueness in friendship.
